It’s time to get the Biden-18 on the record about this baseless impeachment inquiry. These are the top questions to ask the Biden 18 this week.

Politicus USA: Eric Swalwell Asks Why James Comer Is Hiding His Tax Returns and Bank Records. “The Congressional Integrity Project wrote, as first reported in The Messenger: ‘You’ve only released tax returns for two years,’ the letter reads. ‘President Biden, on the other hand, has released 25 years of tax returns. Unsatisfied with this unprecedented level of access to a president’s financial records, you’ve used your power to dig into his family members’ finances.’ The letter calls attention to Comer’s justification for his usage of subpoena power against the Biden family being that he thinks it’s important for high profile public officials to make their tax returns public.” [Politicus USA, 11/6/23]

Axios: Anti-ESG impacts. “The other side: Democrats have begun striking back, deploying resources to attack Republicans in swing districts over support for anti-ESG proposals. The Congressional Integrity Project, a Dem-led rapid response team that also focuses on impeachment, has started running ads against Republicans in congressional districts that Biden won. The ads frame GOP support for anti-ESG bills as simply supporting the wealthy at the expense of everyday consumers. ‘This one just seems so outside the mainstream of what regular people are talking about, even if you’re a Fox News viewer, CIP executive director Kyle Herrig told Axios.” [Axios, 11/7/23]

Washington Times: Left calls on Comer to release own bank statements, tax returns amid Biden subpoenas. “The political left struck back at House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer on Thursday by saying he should release his past bank statements and tax returns. The request comes after a report Thursday by the Daily Beast that the Kentucky Republican has given loans to his brother, Chad Comer, after repeatedly saying that the loan that President Biden gave to his brother, James Biden, is clear evidence of illegal acts. Kyle Herrig, executive director of the Congressional Integrity Project, wrote a letter to Mr. Comer requesting 10 years of his returns and statements, saying he’s only released two years, while the president has released 25 years. ‘Unsatisfied with this unprecedented level of access to a president’s financial records, you’ve used your power to dig into his family members’ finances,’ the letter said. ‘Unable to find any wrongdoing there, you’ve purposefully chosen to misconstrue benign transactions between family members that occurred when President Biden was neither in office nor a candidate for office in order to push a false political narrative to harm the President.’” [Washington Times, 11/9/23]
