Washington, D.C. – This morning, reporting revealed that James Comer and the MAGA House Oversight Committee are planning to subpoena Hunter Biden, James Biden, and a Hunter Biden business associate as part of their ongoing bogus impeachment inquiry into President Biden. In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement.
“After crushing political defeats across the country last night, including in Comer’s home state of Kentucky, Donald Trump’s MAGA extremism was once again rejected and Joe Biden’s approach to democracy and freedom prevailed. And yet here MAGA Republicans go again with more tortured political stunts to distract from their failed policies, losing politics, and an evidence-free investigation into Joe Biden. MAGA Republicans continue to prove they have the wrong priorities by focusing on this bogus impeachment inquiry rather than the important kitchen table issues affecting everyday Americans like inflation and health care.”
