The Porterville Recorder: Mathys announces another challenge to Valadao. “An impeachment inquiry could be the Republicans’ narrow majority in the House at risk. An August poll by the Democratic-aligned Congressional Integrity Project found impeachment is unpopular in all 18 districts won by Biden in 2020 that are held by House Republicans. That includes five Republicans in California, Valadao, John Duarte, Young Kim, Michelle Steel and Mike Garcia. The Los Angeles Times reached out to all five on the impeachment inquiry and all their offices either had no comment or didn’t respond.” [The Porterville Recorder, 9/15/23]

KKCO 11 News: Group calls for ethics investigation into Rep. Boebert for “lewd behavior in public”. “A group called the Congressional Integrity Project in Washington D.C. is calling for the Office of Congressional Ethics to launch an investigation in Colorado 3rd district representative Lauren Boebert, after complaints about her behavior and video surfaced of her being escorted out of a theater in Denver… In light of the events, the Congressional Integrity Project fired off a letter to the Chief Counsel and Staff director of the Office of Congressional Ethics, asking for an immediate investigation into Rep. Boebert’s behavior, citing a blatant disregard of the rules for the House of Representatives.” [KKCO 11 News, 9/19/23]

KDVR Fox 31: Anti-Republican group asks for ethics investigation into Boebert after ‘Beetlejuice’ incident. “A Washington, D.C.-based anti-Republican group has asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate Rep. Lauren Boebert’s actions during a performance of ‘Beetlejuice” in Denver. The Congressional Integrity Project said Boebert behaved ‘in blatant disregard of the Rules of the House of Representatives’ during the incident. According to its website, the Congressional Integrity Project ‘is committed to exposing the reality behind Republicans’ politically motivated oversight and investigations targeting President Biden and Democrats.’” [KCVR Fox 31, 9/19/23]

The Hill (Opinion): Is the GOP House working for the Trump campaign? “Comer’s committee has been investigating allegations against President Biden for nine months and reportedly has found no compelling evidence of wrongdoing. The Congressional Integrity Project, a watchdog group, concluded this month, ‘After months of political stunts, dozens of hearings, transcribed interviews, and memos, and despite hours on Fox peddling conspiracy theories, Comer and his Maga crew have failed to find a single shred of evidence linking President Biden to any of their lurid accusations. In fact, Republicans have been forced to walk back claim after claim.’” [The Hill, 9/20/23
