Congressional Integrity Project October 16 – October 20, 2023 Summary

Oct 20, 2023

This week, the Congressional Integrity Project released a new ad in the Biden 18 swing districts focusing on Jim Jordan, this week’s Republican nominee for Speaker of the House, and his involvement in the January 6th insurrection and attempt to overthrow the 2020 election. The ad was released in the Biden 18 swing districts and highlights how any member of Congress who votes for Jordan for Speaker is aligning themselves with Jordan’s support for the January 6th attack on our democracy.

The ad is part of a months-long, seven-figure advocacy campaign run by the Congressional Integrity Project to hold Republicans accountable for ignoring critical priorities and instead, focusing on bogus investigations and an impeachment inquiry to hurt President Biden and help Donald Trump return to the White House.

Congressional Integrity Project also released a new report titled Jim Jordan is Extreme MAGA and Dangerous to Our Democracy. As Jordan is the top candidate to become Speaker, the report outlines how dangerous he would be to our democracy and how his only allegiance is to Donald Trump, not the American people. Reporting from inside the GOP’s House Speaker battle showed Jim Jordan repeatedly refused to admit that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election

Congressional Integrity Project released a new ad focusing on Jim Jordan, the Republican nominee for Speaker of the House, and his involvement in the January 6th insurrection and attempt to overthrow the 2020 election.

Congressional Integrity Project released a new report titled Jim Jordan is Extreme MAGA and Dangerous to Our Democracy, as Jordan is the top candidate to become Speaker.

At the first vote for Speaker of the House, 200 House Republicans endorsed Jim Jordan – an extreme MAGA Republican, conspiracy theorist, subpoena dodger, and one of the biggest threats to our democracy.

This week, Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, two key players in Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election, have pleaded guilty to their roles in the attempted coup in the case in Fulton County, Georgia.

In a desperate bid to distract from the trash fire that is the current chaos of the MAGA House Republican majority, James Comer released bank records that show not a single shred of wrongdoing by President Biden.
