Axios: Republicans investigate Buttigieg over Ohio derailment. “The other side: Brad Woodhouse, a senior adviser for the Congressional Integrity Project, a Democrat-aligned group whose mission is to counter GOP investigations, blasted the probe as politically motivated. ‘Instead of doing some real good and looking into their leader Donald Trump’s role in the derailment after he rolled back regulations that were intended to prevent train derailments and chemical spills, they are only going after President Biden and his administration,’ Woodhouse said in a statement.” [Axios, 2/24/23]

NPR: As Republicans start investigating Biden, the White House war room is ready to fight. “In an ad from a group called the Congressional Integrity Project, ominous music plays as House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan tells an audience that the investigations will ‘help frame up the 2024 race’ when he hopes former President Donald Trump will run and win again.” [NPR, 2/27/23]

MSNBC: Rep. James Comer’s Hunter Biden crusade lets Trump and Jared Kushner off the hook. “But where is Comer’s outrage, asks Kyle Herrig, executive director of the Congressional Integrity Project. ‘Comer is able to constantly feign outrage over every single action by President Biden’s family members, who are private citizens,’ he told me, ‘while being more than happy to look the other way and defend Trump’s family from legitimate and damning scandals.’” [MSNBC, 2/28/23]

The Independent: What are the allegations against CPAC head Matt Schlapp? “In a statement, Congressional Integrity Project Executive Director Kyle Herrig said it was ‘no surprise’ that Mr Schlapp was conducting the interview with Mr Jordan. ‘He has a history of trying to brush abuse under the rug and the accusations against his far-right MAGA pal Matt Schlapp will be no different,’ he said.” [The Independent, 3/2/23
