This week, Congressional Democratic leaders and advocates joined the Congressional Integrity Project at the House Triangle to communicate their steadfast opposition to the Trump-demanded, no-evidence impeachment inquiry designed to smear Joe Biden. The press event and visibility effort is part of CIP’s no-holds-barred campaign to end the MAGA-fueled, Marjorie Taylor Greene-orchestrated impeachment scam and to ensure Republicans are held accountable for focusing on this political stunt rather than the priorities the American people care about.

Congressional Democratic leaders joined Congressional Integrity Project: House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (MD-8), Rep. Jimmy Gomez (CA-34), Rep. Robert Garcia (CA-42), Rep. Dan Goldman (NY-10), Rep. Jared Moskowitz (FL-23), Rep. Deborah Ross (NC-2), Rep. Maxwell Frost (FL-10), Rep. Melanie Stansbury  (NM-1), Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX-30), Rep. Glenn Ivey (MD-4), and Brad Woodhouse, senior advisor, Congressional Integrity Project.

CIP also commissioned polling conducted by Public Policy Polling of voters in the Biden 17 congressional districts across the country. The poll found that 74% of Americans including 68% of independents in the Biden 17 districts think the House of Representatives should focus more on issues like the economy, inflation, crime, and border security over impeaching President Biden. 90% of voters in these districts including 93% of independents want Congress to stop playing partisan games and work to address these issues keeping them up at night. 

Other Topline findings include:

  • A majority (52%) of voters in these districts believe impeachment is more of a partisan political stunt, including 53% of independents.
  • 52% of these voters think an impeachment inquiry would be more about hurting Biden politically than finding the truth, including 54% of independents. 
  • 54% of voters in the Biden 17 districts say they do not trust Mike Johnson to be a fair arbiter of impeachment. 
  • A plurality of these voters (44%) said they would be less likely to vote for a member of Congress if they voted for an impeachment inquiry, compared to just 24% who said they would be more likely to.
  • 62% of voters in the Biden 17 districts said Congress should not impeach President Biden without any evidence, including 71% of independents.

This week, the Congressional Integrity Project launched two mobile billboards in California, calling on residents to contact their representatives and tell them to vote no on the bogus Biden Impeachment. One mobile billboard targets Rep. John Duarte and traveled around Modesto, CA from 9 AM-5 PM PST on December 11, 2023. Another targeted Rep. David Valadao and circled his Bakersfield District office at 2700 M Street, Suite 250B, Bakersfield, CA from 9 AM – 5 PM PST on December 11, 2023.

CIP also launched two new billboards in New York, targeting Reps. Marc Molinaro and Rep. Brandon Williams. The billboards were up from December 11 – December 14, 2023. A billboard targeting Rep. Molinaro was located at Route 17 @ 4324 Watson Blvd, Binghamton, NY, and one targeting Rep. Williams was located at 621 Brighton Avenue, Syracuse NY.

CIP sent out 22 rapid-response products, including statements, fact sheets, and roundups.

This week, the Congressional Integrity Project launched a no-holds-barred campaign targeting members of the Biden 17 to ensure these MAGA Republican members from districts won by President Biden are held accountable for following along blindly with the massively unpopular push by the MAGA House GOP to impeach President Biden, with no evidence of wrongdoing whatsoever.

New bombshell reporting in a lengthy and detailed Associated Press investigation has revealed House Oversight Chairman James Comer has repeatedly engaged in questionable dealings with shady characters and lawbreakers

​​Republicans on the House Rules Committee held a hearing on Republicans’ bogus impeachment inquiry into President Biden and advanced the resolution to the floor, setting up a vote later in the week. 

In a shameful display, MAGA House Republicans voted to formally open an impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

The ads from the Democratic-allied Congressional Integrity Project target Reps. Los Angeles Times: Vulnerable California Republicans vote for Biden impeachment inquiry. “The vote could come back to haunt swing-district Republican candidates. The group’s focus has been on Republicans who support an impeachment inquiry targeting Biden, said spokesperson Nicole Haley. Haley said the group is in the middle of a seven figure, months-long campaign. They chose to stand with Donald Trump, the disgraced former president facing 91 criminal indictments, NOT with the American people and their important priorities like health care and addressing the cost of living,’ Congressional Integrity Project Executive Director Kyle Herrig said.
