Congressional Integrity Project March 25 – March 29, 2024 Summary

Mar 29, 2024

This week, the Congressional Integrity Project launched a new paid digital ad campaign in the seventeen Republican House districts across the country that President Biden won in 2020.

The ads call on the Biden 17 members to stop the baseless Biden impeachment inquiry and focus on the issues that actually matter to the American people, like immigration and the cost of living. MAGA Republicans in Congress have spent the past 15 months investigating the President and have not found a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing whatsoever, nor have they been able to call a single credible witness who can back up the GOP’s claims. It’s time for MAGA Republicans to end this political stunt.

This week, the Congressional Integrity Project launched a new paid digital ad campaign in the seventeen Republican House districts across the country that President Biden won in 2020.

It’s been another month of epic failures for House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, who is failing miserably in his desperate attempt to impeach President Biden.

The MAGA House Republicans announced they would officially send articles of impeachment for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on April 10th.

Brooklyn Daily Eagle: Goldman: Biden Impeachment ‘Dead,’ After Congress Wastes 15 Months & Million of Dollars. “On Thursday, Goldman joined the Congressional Integrity Project to call on New York’s House Republicans to drop the floundering impeachment. ‘Republicans have had 15 months to build a case, and after dozens of witness interviews, hundreds of thousands of documents reviewed, and millions of taxpayers’ dollars, there isn’t a shred of credible evidence linking President Biden to any wrongdoing, much less a high crime or misdemeanor,’ he said in a statement.” [Brooklyn Daily Eagle, 3/25/25]

The Village Sun: Rep. Goldman declares Biden ‘sham impeachment’ kaput. “On Thursday, Congressmember Dan Goldman joined the Congressional Integrity Project and speakers from across the state to call on New York’s House Republicans to end their ‘baseless impeachment inquiry’ of President Biden Speakers at the “Impeachment Is Over” virtual rally proclaimed that the “politically motivated” impeachment of the president is dead. They demanded that congressional Republicans in Biden-won districts in Westchester, Rochester and Long Island — Mike Lawler, Anthony D’Esposito, Nick Lalota, Marc Molinaro and Brandon Williams — ‘move on from political stunts and failed investigations and focus on the real issues affecting New Yorkers.’” [The Village Sun, 3/25/24]

Washington Examiner: Democrats target Biden-district Republicans as impeachment efforts sputter. “The Democratic-aligned Congressional Integrity Project released a new ad campaign on Tuesday targeting GOP lawmakers representing districts won by Biden in 2020, urging Republicans to drop the inquiry and instead focus on advancing bipartisan legislation to secure the border. The ads are set to broadcast in 17 districts across eight states as part of a larger seven-figure campaign criticizing Republicans and their impeachment efforts. ‘Rather than addressing issues that make Americans’ lives better, MAGA Republicans are pursuing a baseless impeachment inquiry at Trump’s direction,’ Kyle Herrig, executive director of Congressional Integrity Project, said in a statement. ‘The Biden 17 greenlit this baseless impeachment inquiry instead of addressing the issues of their constituents. We are calling on the Biden 17 to stand on the side of their constituents and end this political stunt.’” [Washinton Examiner, 3/26/24]

Sacramento Bee: Democratic Ad Campaign Targets Vulnerable California House Republicans on Impeachment. “A new set of political ads is targeting vulnerable California congressional Republicans, including Reps. John Duarte and David Valadao, urging them to abandon House Republicans’ effort to impeach Biden, a Democrat. The ads come courtesy of the Congressional Integrity Project, a group of Democratic strategists launched in 2022 that looks to counteract the power of the House majority.” [Sacramento Bee, 3/27/24]
