Yesterday, it was reported that President Biden’s attorneys turned over a small number of classified documents from the Obama-Biden administration that they discovered locked in his former private office. MAGA Republicans have predictably jumped on attacking President Biden and many have been conflating the Trump and Biden document stories even though this situation differs considerably from the hundreds of highly sensitive documents that Trump stole and brought to Mar-a-Lago, repeatedly hiding them from federal investigators and the National Archives. Shadow Speaker Marjorie Taylor Greene already called for President Biden’s impeachment and new House Oversight Committee chair James Comer has pledged to open an investigation.
