Washington, D.C. – Earlier this week James Comer came up with a new ridiculous conspiracy theory to peddle on Fox News, claiming without any evidence that the U.S. is providing support for our ally Ukraine in their fight against a Russian invasion because Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dirt on President Biden. In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issues the following statement:
“Six months into his investigations, MAGA Republican James Comer has found no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden so he continues to resort to spreading baseless, unhinged conspiracy theories about the President and his family. Every time Comer gets called out for having no evidence, he makes up another crazy theory to yell about on Fox News. Instead of focusing on the real issues Americans care about like lowering costs, creating jobs, and increasing access to health care, MAGA Republicans like Comer spend their days providing cover for their twice-indicted former leader Donald Trump in a desperate attempt to get Trump back in the White House. Once again, Comer is all hat, no cattle.”
