Washington, D.C. – Today, the MAGA House Oversight Committee hosted yet another political stunt masquerading as a hearing alleging federal interference in the investigation of Hunter Biden. As expected, the hearing was nothing but a disgusting partisan stunt, filled with lies, conspiracy theories, and misinformation from the Republicans on the Committee. In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement.
“James Comer continued to prove that he is nothing but a partisan hack. This hearing was filled with some of the most blatant and disgusting partisan stunts that we have seen so far. Once again, Comer and his fellow MAGA Republicans on the Oversight Committee failed to prove a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden. If we learned anything from today’s hearing, it would be that MAGA Republicans in Congress clearly have the wrong priorities. They are focused on helping Donald Trump above all else and have absolutely no credibility to conduct legitimate investigations.”
