Washington, D.C. – Today, the House, including Rep. Tom Kean, Jr., voted to pass a baseless resolution condemning Vice President Kamala Harris over the administration’s supposed actions at the border. This resolution is nothing more than another example of MAGA House Republicans abusing their power as elected officials to attack their political rivals and help convicted felon Donald Trump return to the White House and impose the radical Project 2025 agenda on the American people.
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director Kyle Herrig said the following:
“This Congress, Tom Kean, Jr. and his MAGA House Republicans colleagues have failed to deliver or act on the priorities of the American people. As he prepares to take a six-week summer vacation, he should be addressing the urgent issues facing Americans across the country, like the cost of living or protecting Americans’ freedoms. Instead, Tom Kean, Jr. and MAGA House Republicans continue to act as nothing more than an arm of the Trump campaign. In reality, Vice President Harris and the Biden-Harris administration have taken action to secure our border and ensure our immigration system lives up to our values while Trump and MAGA Republicans blocked a bipartisan border deal for nothing but pure politics.”
