Washington, D.C. – Ahead of Trump’s arraignment tomorrow on 37 felony counts, MAGA Republicans have introduced bogus articles of impeachment against President Biden and Vice President Harris. In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“It is no coincidence that Donald Trump will be the first ever former president arraigned tomorrow and that in advance Republicans are pulling out all the stops to shield him from harm by trumping up bogus impeachment articles against President Biden. This is yet another high-priced political stunt by MAGA Republicans who will go to any lengths to run interference for their failed former president even if it means trashing our democracy in the meantime.”
