Washington, D.C. – This morning, Rep. Jim Jordan and his fellow MAGA Republicans on the Weaponization Subcommittee held a desperate press conference to highlight their new report on the alleged weaponization of the federal government, featuring testimony from discredited witnesses who either lost their security clearances because they either took part in the riot on January 6th or expressed views that placed into question their “allegiance to the United States.” In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“Jim Jordan is becoming more and more desperate to prove something that doesn’t exist. The GOP’s report once again is full of lies and falsehoods that continue to shine a light on his hand-picked conspiracy theorists and insurrection supporters, who, like himself, will go to any lengths to defend the former president’s dangerous lies.”
