Washington D.C. – Today, Rep. Jim Jordan, chairman of the Judiciary Committee announced subpoenas to some of the largest names in Big Tech in search of what Jordan thinks is the companies suppressing free speech. But what Big Tech company is missing from the group? Twitter, run by the MAGA Republican’s best friend Elon Musk. In response, Congressional Integrity Project, Executive Director, Kyle Herrig, released the following statement:
“Jim Jordan is the least credible person imaginable to lead any investigation. He is playing partisan politics in the most obvious and ham-handed way. After defying his own subpoena to appear before the committee investigating an insurrection against the United States, an insurrection that he lent a hand in, Jordan is handing out subpoenas like candy on Halloween.
“Here, Jordan is targeting every social media company except for the one run by his buddy Elon Musk. It proves how hypocritical Jim Jordan really is and how little he can be trusted to conduct any meaningful oversight.”
