Washington, D.C. – Jim Jordan’s House Judiciary Committee is holding yet another desperate political stunt hearing on the southern border in Wisconsin this Thursday. MAGA Republicans are holding this hearing, designed solely to help Donald Trump, just days before the 2024 election.
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“Desperate times call for desperate measures and MAGA Republicans sure are desperate these days. Donald Trump is increasingly incoherent, and is canceling interviews, afraid that the American people will see how unfit and weak he is. Trump superfan Jim Jordan is using his taxpayer funded House Judiciary Committee to hold a hearing on the southern border over a thousand miles away in Wisconsin, in a last ditch effort to try to save Trump’s failing campaign.
For the past two years, Jim Jordan, James Comer, and their fellow MAGA House Republicans have acted as an arm of the Trump campaign instead of addressing any of the important priorities of Americans across the country like the cost of living or access to health care. This hearing is just the latest example.”
