Washington, D.C. – Today, James Comer, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee hosted a hearing on the Biden-Harris administration’s so-called “policy failures.” As expected, the hearing was nothing but a political stunt, showcasing the wrong priorities of MAGA House Republicans. They have yet to address funding the government or made any progress on the important priorities of Americans across the country
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“It’s bold of James Comer and his fellow MAGA House Republicans to talk about failures when they are the ones who haven’t been able to pass a single piece of legislation that actually matters to the American people. This hearing is just another example of MAGA House Republicans doing convicted felon Donald Trump’s bidding and trying to harm his political opponent ahead of the 2024 presidential election, all so Trump can return to the White House and enact the radical Project 2025 agenda.
The biggest failure of the past two years has been House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer himself, who wasted the past year and a half investigating President Biden and failed to find a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing whatsoever.”
