Washington, D.C. – After almost a year of failed hearings and investigations into President Biden, James Comer continues to grow more and more desperate. He is handing out subpoenas like candy in an effort to distract from Donald Trump’s current legal trials for 91 criminal counts and the MAGA agenda’s defeat at the ballot box last week. As Trump’s legal team is preparing for his upcoming trial over his mishandling of classified documents and obstruction, House Republicans are trying to go after President Biden who fully cooperated with his own investigation.
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“Comer’s latest political stunt proves he’s just doing the bidding of Donald Trump who stole classified documents, obstructed efforts by federal agencies to retrieve them, conspired with others to hide them, and showed our most closely held secrets to his pals. Trump is facing 40 felony counts over his mishandling of classified documents but James Comer hasn’t lifted a finger to investigate that because he’s nothing more than a proxy for the Trump for President campaign. Trump’s MAGA House lackeys are willing to do anything to protect him – including ignoring the actual needs of their constituents.”
