Washington, D.C. – Today, Hunter Biden sat for closed-door testimony in the baseless impeachment investigation of President Biden. Like all witnesses interviewed to date, the Oversight Committee learned of no new evidence, confirming once again that President Biden has no involvement in his son’s business dealings. This disaster comes on the heels of the near total collapse of this farce after their star witness was indicted for lying about the President and his son and was found to be a Russian intelligence asset.
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“For over a year, MAGA Republicans have pestered President Biden and his family with their baseless impeachment political stunt. Hunter’s testimony today only solidifies, once more, that this impeachment pursuit is nothing but an embarrassing waste of time. On the verge of a MAGA-fueled government shutdown, Republicans are wasting important time doing Donald Trump’s bidding when they could be addressing the issues most important to Americans across the country It’s past time for MAGA Republicans to end this stunt of an impeachment inquiry.”
