Washington, D.C. – This week, Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt was just the latest right-wing figure to call out James Comer for his failed impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Schmitt joins Republican Members of Congress, aides, and right-wing media personalities who have said there’s no evidence to impeach President Biden.

Jen Kiggans and every MAGA House Republican voted to begin this farcical impeachment inquiry. For almost a year and a half, the House has focused on this baseless investigation instead of the issues important to VA-2.  Does Kiggans agree with her colleagues that there are “no impeachable offenses” and there’s “no evidence to impeach?” It’s past time for Kiggans to demand the House focus on delivering for her district, not helping Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:

“James Comer has spent over a year investigating President Biden and has not produced a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing whatsoever. While MAGA House Republicans continue this baseless impeachment, they are blocking the bipartisan border security agreement and failing to take action to lower costs.  The MAGA House Republican majority is focused on the wrong priorities – helping Donald Trump, not fighting for working families. And, Rep. Kiggans refuses to stand up to Trump or his House Republican leadership and  demand an end to this bogus impeachment inquiry and instead focus on the priorities her district cares about.”
