Washington, D.C. – Today, at Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan’s field hearing in Manhattan, Congressional Integrity Project followed Jordan with flyers reminding him that his investigations and hearings have been nothing but political stunts and a total sham. Congressional Integrity Project executive director Kyle Herrig issued the following statement:
“Jordan has completely abandoned conducting any legitimate investigations and this latest political stunt is the latest in his blatant attempt to help Donald Trump escape the rule of law. As much as he would like us to pretend otherwise, he is interfering with the justice system of New York State. If Jordan cared about high crime rates, he should start by looking at his home district in Ohio, where the homicide rate is much higher than in Manhattan. This hearing is just another political stunt to defend former president Trump, spearheaded by Jim Jordan.”
