Washington, D.C. – Last week, convicted felon Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 felonies of falsifying business records to deceive voters in order to interfere in the 2016 election. Trump still faces felony charges in three other criminal cases. Congressional Integrity Project calls on Rep. David Schweikert to accept the verdict of the jury of everyday Americans and stop protecting Trump from his crimes.

Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:

“James Comer, Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mike Johnson, and their fellow MAGA Republicans spent two years trying to shield Trump from his crimes and to help the now-convicted felon return to the White House. David Schweikert and the Biden 17 have let them get away with this all year. But a jury of everyday Americans have spoken and Trump was found guilty of his crimes. If David Schweikert believes in the rule of law he must publicly accept the results of this jury, the 2020 election, and the upcoming results of the 2024 election. It’s what his constituents deserve.”
