Yesterday, the MAGA House Republicans on the Oversight Committee held yet another political stunt hearing on the baseless impeachment inquiry of President Biden. Chairman Comer resorted to calling repeat witnesses, including a convicted felon appearing live from prison and a Trump-aligned MAGA insider whose testimony has already been investigated and rejected by both the GOP-led Senate and the Trump-era Department of Justice. The witnesses repeated the same debunked conspiracy theories. Even their right-wing allies, including Fox News and Newsmax commentators and their colleagues in Congress, are admitting impeachment is “not going anywhere” and viewers are “tired” of this stunt.
It is far past time for MAGA House Republicans to give up this embarrassing charade, stop doing Donald Trump’s bidding, and start focusing on the real concerns of the American people.
