Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressional Integrity Project released a new report about the Republican’s witness for Thursday’s hearing on the so-called weaponization of the federal government, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The report, titled RFK Jr: Conspiracy Theorist, Extremist, Republican Stooge, details Kennedy’s long history of spreading dangerous conspiracy theories about a wide array of issues including vaccines, Covid-19, 5G, antidepressants, and election integrity. The report also shows that Kennedy has a long history of palling around with antisemites and spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories.
The new report follows a letter Congressional Integrity Project sent to the Chairman of the Weaponization subcommittee, Jim Jordan, calling on him to disinvite Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. from Thursday’s hearing following a newly released video of Kennedy spreading horrific antisemitic and xenophobic conspiracy theories. In response to the new report, Congressional Integrity Project executive director Kyle Herrig said the following:
“Spreading horrific antisemitic and xenophobic conspiracy theories should be an automatic disqualification for testifying during a Congressional hearing. You would think this was something everyone would agree on, but Jim Jordan – who has his own history of antisemitism – still has no problem with calling Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to testify as his witness and in fact has even defended his choice to give RFK, Jr. a platform. As our report lays out, this new vile video from Kennedy is only the latest in his long extremist history. Jordan and his MAGA pals are so desperate to find a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden and his administration after months and months of failures that they can’t even pretend to care about antisemitism and xenophobia. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting political grudges over the priorities of the American people.”
