Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Integrity Project today released a new report, Meet the House Committee on Overreach, which lays out how extreme the new House Oversight Committee will be. Congressional Integrity Project Senior Advisor, Brad Woodhouse, said the following about the new report:
“The new House Oversight Committee will be made up of Republicans who are election deniers, conspiracy theorists, involved with the January 6th insurrection, and more. Today’s report shows how unserious and untrustworthy the House Oversight Committee and its investigations will be. Oversight Chairman James Comer may have claimed that he wanted the committee to be ‘credible’ but the selection of these members shows this committee is nothing more than a bad joke.”
