Committee Will Examine Millions of Dollars in Business Deals, Profits and Trademarks Benefitting Trump’s Children and Son-in-Law While He Was President

Washington D.C. – House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer today announced that his committee will investigate influence peddling by Donald Trump and his family while he was President. Most specifically, the inquiry will look at billions of dollars in business deals, profits and trademarks that Trump’s children, Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka, and son-in-law Jared Kushner, benefitted from while Donald Trump was President.

Eric and Don Jr., for example, cut billions of dollars in deals trading on their family name while their father was in office and Jared and Ivanka were brokering business deals and getting exclusive trademarks while working in the Trump White House. In fact, Ivanka Trump received dozens of exclusive trademarks from the Chinese which often coincided with trade negotiations and diplomatic meetings with China involving her father. In response to the new Oversight Committee’s investigation of Trump Family influence peddling, Congressional Integrity Project Senior Adviser Brad Woodhouse released the following statement:

“Just kidding. This would never happen.”
