Washington, D.C. – In response to Donald Trump raising money off of James Comer’s politically motivated investigations, Congressional Integrity Project executive director Kyle Herrig released the following statement:
“The email speaks for itself. It was only a matter of time before Trump tried to cash in on Comer’s blatant political attacks. Comer would rather do the bidding of Donald Trump and his MAGA allies than conduct any real and legitimate oversight. We now know without a shadow of a doubt what we’ve been saying all along: these BS investigations are about returning Trump to the White House and the facts be damned.”
