Watch Congressional Integrity Project’s new video highlighting how Archer’s testimony was just another embarrassing faceplant for Comer and Jordan who still cannot prove any wrongdoing by President Biden here.

Washington, DC This morning, Congressman Dan Goldman joined the Congressional Integrity Project in a press call to discuss the past seven months of failed investigations conducted by the House Oversight Committee, including Monday’s testimony from Hunter Biden’s former business associate, Devon Archer. Goldman also discussed the news of Donald Trump’s latest indictment over his role in trying to overturn the 2020 election and the events leading up to the January 6th attack on our Capitol.

As the only member to stay for the entirety of the transcribed interview, Congressman Goldman is uniquely positioned to provide a full and accurate picture of Devon Archer’s testimony – namely, that Archer did not provide “…a shred of evidence of a single conflict of interest of President Biden ever doing anything in connection or in relation to Hunter Biden’s business ventures.” Archer’s testimony is just the latest in a series of overpromising and under-delivering from James Comer and House Republicans.

“The Republicans’ witness was unequivocally clear – President Joe Biden never, at any point, discussed Hunter Biden’s business dealings with Hunter or any of Hunter’s business partners. After seven months of investigations, Republicans have yet to find any evidence whatsoever demonstrating involvement between the President and his son’s business dealings,” said Congressman Goldman. “But following former President Trump’s indictment on Tuesday, we can expect Congressional Republicans to continue their campaign of distraction and false innuendo to protect Donald Trump. Chairman Comer should immediately release the transcript from Devon Archer’s testimony so the American people can see the truth for themselves.”

“Last night, special prosecutor Jack Smith announced Donald Trump’s latest indictment for his role in trying to overturn the 2020 election he knew he lost and his actions leading up to the January 6th attack on our country and the Capitol,” said Congressional Integrity Project Communications Director, Nicole Haley. “Already, MAGA Republicans are frothing at the bit to defend their disgraced leader, calling the investigations weaponization of the federal government, or a distraction from their bogus investigations into President Biden, investigations which have failed to turn up a single shred of wrongdoing by the president.”
