Washington, D.C. – Tomorrow, convicted felon Donald Trump will meet with his MAGA House Republican cronies at the scene of the insurrection he started to set the stage to attempt to sow seeds of doubt in the 2024 election.
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“Convicted felon Donald Trump returning to the scene of the crime of the insurrection he incited is nothing short of grotesque. Three and a half years ago Trump, the Proud Boys, and his MAGA army brought our democracy to its knees. Now, his MAGA bootlickers and sycophants have turned the People’s House into a seedy, gross satellite office of the Trump campaign debasing themselves and the institution to return the Crook-in-Chief back to the White House. They should be ashamed of themselves. It’s clear they care more about protecting their leader than working on behalf of the American people.”
