Washington, D.C. – After President Biden announced he is not seeking re-election, MAGA Republicans immediately announced at least one blatant attack against Vice President Kamala Harris – a resolution condemning her work on immigration – with many more to follow.
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director Kyle Herrig said the following:
“Instead of focusing on the important priorities of the American people, like addressing the southern border or health care costs, MAGA House Republicans have focused their energy on tearing down Joe Biden, his administration, and even his family, all to help convicted felon Donald Trump return to the White House. For two years, MAGA House Republicans have pushed outrageous political smears to denigrate the integrity of President Biden and his family all to aid and abet a convicted felon and fraudster.”
Herrig continued, “House Republicans showed their character over the past two years and it is every bit as lacking as the demagogue they serve. Despite all their political stunts and attacks on President Biden, they failed to damage him or his integrity. These partisan attacks will fail in the same way as they direct their efforts at Vice President Harris.”
