Washington, DC – Today, the Congressional Integrity Project launched a new mobile billboard in Tompkinsville, KY, where a new investigation by the Associated Press revealed House Oversight Chairman James Comer owns land in Tompkinsville with a long-time donor through a shady shell company. Despite the billboard only circling the town for two hours, rather than the planned eight, due to Comer supporters threatening and harassing the driver all morning, the mobile billboard visited Comer’s district office, as well as the land he owns through his shell company.
In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“Despite harassment and threats from Comer’s supporters, today we delivered a clear message to Comer’s neighbors in Tompkinsville, Kentucky – Comer must answer for his blatant hypocrisy and come clean to the American public and the people he represents about his shady financial dealings exposed by the Associated Press. The people of Kentucky deserve to know the truth about their representative and his hypocrisy and shady business dealings. But we won’t hold our breath waiting for the biggest Trump apologist around who is leading an evidence-free impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden to come clean about anything.”
