Washington, D.C. – Tonight, Kevin McCarthy outlined more failed evidence in support of the impeachment inquiry into President Biden at a last minute press conference.
LIE: President Biden received money from foreign nationals.
FACT: By Comer’s own admission, the wires that Kevin McCarthy released today are NOT to President Biden.
FACT: Hunter Biden’s business partner has said under oath that President Biden never took any action on behalf of his son’s company.
Congressional Integrity Project executive director Kyle Herrig issued the following statement:
“The facts simply do not matter to these people. McCarthy and Comer failed again to drum up evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden. It’s no coincidence that McCarthy and Comer are pushing this so called evidence so desperately the same afternoon that a judge ruled Donald Trump committed fraud for years, and days before a government shutdown entirely of McCarthy’s own making. These attempts to distract the public and smear President Biden are transparent, pathetic, and contemptible given the real issues Republicans are ignoring.”
