Washington, D.C. – Last night at a town hall, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene threatened not to vote to fund the government unless the House voted to open an impeachment inquiry into President Biden, despite having no evidence. In response, Congressional Integrity Project executive director, Kyle Herrig, issued the following statement:
“After eight months of investigations, there is not a single shred of evidence proving President Biden committed any wrongdoing whatsoever. Extreme MAGA ringleader Marjorie Taylor Greene is holding working families’ livelihoods, Social Security checks, Medicare payments, and veterans’ benefits hostage for a bogus impeachment against President Biden. It’s a naked political stunt that hurts the American people to tarnish President Biden and help Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 election.”
