Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressional Integrity Project released a new report welcoming back Jim Jordan, James Comer, Kevin McCarthy, and their MAGA allies following the July 4th recess. The report, titled Six Months of Stunts, Wrong Priorities, and Failure: MAGA Republicans Have Nothing to Show for Their Partisan Games, details exactly how MAGA Republicans have failed by any conceivable measure in their ongoing sham investigations into President Biden. Congressional Integrity Project executive director Kyle Herrig said the following:
“After wasting six months of time on partisan stunts masquerading as investigations, what do MAGA Republicans have to show for it? Not a single shred of evidence linking President Biden to any wrongdoing whatsoever. Rather than working across the aisle to address the issues keeping Americans up at night – like health care, gun violence, and the economy – James Comer, Jim Jordan, and their MAGA colleagues have wasted half a year pursuing conspiracy theories and spouting nonsense on Fox News. These are the same MAGA Republicans that spent four years making excuses for and turning a blind eye to the rampant and actual corruption that happened on a daily basis when Trump controlled the White House – proof enough they don’t actually care about corruption. What these past six months make clear is that the only thing MAGA Republicans truly care about is gaining more power to help their special interest friends and take away our rights.”
